About Us

Parker, Colorado Diagnostic Ultrasound Services

Diagnostic ultrasound utilizes sound waves (no ionizing radiation) and has been referred to as a "visual stethoscope", providing a clear, convenient, real-time glimpse throughout the human body. In fact, a multitude of medical conditions and blood flow information can be examined and documented in real-time.

Elective 2D/3D/4D ultrasounds are for a family bonding experience and for entertainment only. You can hear your baby’s precious heartbeat, see baby move, and have amazing opportunities to see baby’s features such as face, hands, and feet.

Our ultrasound services aim to please physicians and patients' ultrasound healthcare needs!

Hello, welcome, and thank you for exploring my company!
I am so very excited and feel grateful that you are here!

I'm Sandi Kimmel, owner and CEO of Imaging Zen, as well as a long-time and friendly registered diagnostic medical ultrasonographer.  My company was started with a passion to make a positive impact on others' lives, and essentially build a stronger, kinder, and better-quality medical imaging community. I desire to create a more affordable and comforting imaging medical experience, where people are valued and being cared for with the highest caliber. We all know that the healthcare field is changing. I wondered... could I change along with it, in a positive direction by utilizing my ultrasound knowledge and skills to aid in some of the problems I see? How could I help with rising healthcare costs, combat poor patient compliance and satisfaction, and empower people by giving them a caring and quality option for medical ultrasounds?  And so here is my work in progress... Imaging Zen.

Work history:  I graduated with honors in 1996 from Texas Women’s University with a bachelor’s of science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. I have been a registered diagnostic medical sonographer since 2001, and absolutely love it! I maintain multiple ultrasound registries, currently in abdomen, vascular, and OB/Gyn. If opportunity arises, I am open to exploring other ultrasound modalities and registries as well.

In March 2023, I took a huge leap of faith and left an 11-year ultrasound position working for a very busy OB/GYN office, to start my dream ultrasound company. Prior to this, I was employed 11 years by a local hospital group: First with Littleton Adventist Hospital in 2001, and then became a charter member in opening Parker Adventist Hospital in 2004.  While at Parker Hospital, I further collaborated with perinatal doctors of the University of Colorado Maternal Fetal Medicine for 7 years. Moreover, I have a long-standing professional membership in the SDMS (Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers), ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers), and am BLS Certified through the American Heart Association.

Fun background information: I grew up in Dallas, Texas and have lived in Colorful Colorado since 2001. I am blessed with an amazing husband, and I am a very proud mom to a wonderful son. In my free time, one will find me gardening, traveling, playing outdoors, cooking, and (most of all) spending time with friends and family.  You will win me over with honesty, kindness, good food and chocolates, and delicious wine.  One of my favorite sayings is "Be the reason someone smiles today."

I am looking forward to working with you!
